Time To Register For DCYC 2026 Amarillo—There is still time to get signed up for the annual Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference (DCYC), set for Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26 at the Amarillo Civic Center, 401 South Buchanan.
The theme of DCYC 2026 is Do not fear: I am with you; do not be anxious: I am your God (Isaiah 41:10).
The regular registration deadline is Good Friday, April 3. Regular registration is $65 per person and must be postmarked by April 3. The fee includes two meals, but no t-shirt and gifts.
For those registering at the door, cost is $75 per person, according to Diocesan Youth Director Oscar Guzman. The registration fee includes two meals.
Registration can be done at the parish-level and any additional costs depends on the cost of transportation, lodging and additional meals.
For those planning to go to Wonderland Park on Sunday, April 26, tickets are $24 per person. Guzman said those planning to go to Wonderland Park are welcome to order for family as well, but that Wonderland Park is optional.
Scheduled to participate at DCYC 2026 are: • Donovan Moses; • Genesis Pirolo; • Franciscan Sister of Christ the Light Sister Maria Irina Teiner; and, • Brad Farmer.

World Youth Day 2027 Meeting Dates Announced Amarillo—World Youth Day 2027 is less than 17 months away and the Diocesan Youth Office has announced dates for meetings for those who wish to be a part of the delegation representing the Diocese of Amarillo.
All meetings will take place at the Diocesan Pastoral Center, 4512 NE 24th Ave.
The first meeting is Sunday, May 3 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. This will be the first of two Informational and Payment meetings this spring. Attendees are asked to bring their favorite snacks and drinks. Those who are already signed up as pilgrims for the diocesan delegation are asked to bring $200. The second meeting, also an Informational and Payment meeting, is slated for Sunday, June 14, also from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Once again, those already signed up are asked to bring $200. Attendees are asked to bring their favorite snacks and drinks.
“The May and June meetings are mandatory meetings for NEW pilgrims that have never traveled with our diocesan delegation, but everyone is welcome to attend either or both of these meetings as a refresher,” said Guzman.
Mandatory meetings will begin this summer, with all meetings again at the Diocesan Pastoral Center. The meetings will run from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Dates and payment information are: • Saturday, July 11, attendees are asked to bring $1,000; • Saturday, Jan. 2, attendees are asked to bring $1,000; • Saturday, March 13, attendees are asked to bring $1,000; and, • Saturday, June 12, attendees are asked to bring $1,000. Any adjustments to the price for attending World Youth Day will be due at this final, mandatory meeting.

The delegation representing the Diocese of Amarillo will be in South Korea Thursday, July 29 through Monday, Aug. 2 for Days in the Diocese.
Three Deanery Mini-Rallies Scheduled Amarillo—The Diocesan Youth Office will conduct three Deanery Mini-Rallies, focusing on Faith, Hope, Communion and Mission, the theme of the Centennial year of the Diocese of Amarillo, according to Diocesan Youth Director Oscar Guzman.
Blessed Sacrament Church at 2500 South Bolton will host the first Mini-Rally for the Central Deanery on Saturday, May 23. The rally begins at 1:30pm. There is no cost for the rally, but registration is required by Friday, May 15.
The second Mini-Rally is scheduled Saturday, June 6 for the East Deanery at St. Theresa’s Church, 110 Little Flower Way (on FM293 at Highway 60) in Panhandle. The rally begins at 1:30pm. There is no cost for the rally, but registration is required by Friday, May 29.
The third and final Mini-Rally takes place Saturday, June 13 for the South Deanery at Holy Family Church, 210 St. Joseph St. in Nazareth. The rally begins at 1:30pm. There is no cost for the rally, but registration is required by Friday, June 5.
“The young church is not the Church of the future but of the NOW that honors the sacrifices of many Faithful within the past 100 years of the Diocese of Amarillo,” said Guzman. “The Centennial Mini Rallies will focus on the Baptismal mission motivated forward by the gifts, talents and energy of the young church to leave a stronger legacy for the future church not born yet.”
All three Mini-Rallies include Mass and are scheduled to conclude at approximately 8:30pm.
