• John4:5-15

• Exodus 17:5-7
• Jeremiah 2:12-13

• Paragraph 2560
• Paragraph 2561

• The water from the rock in Exodus points to Christ. Just as God provided water for the Israelites, Jesus gives us living water. His pierced side on the Cross poured out blood and water, fulfilling this deeper meaning.
• Like the Israelites, we can turn away from God while chasing worldly things such as wealth, pleasure, power, or status.
• Jesus invites us to return to Him, the Fountain of Living Water, who washes us clean and gives us new life.
• Like the woman at the well, we are called to share what Jesus has done for us and become messengers of His mercy and the Gospel.
