Parishes in the Diocese of Amarillo have announced Mass Schedules for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, Thursday, Jan. 1.

The Diocese of Amarillo will celebrate the Rite of Election of Catechumens and of Calling the Candidates to Continuing Conversion Sunday, Feb. 22 at 2:30pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 South Washington.

Parishes throughout the Diocese of Amarillo have announced Mass Schedules for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a Holy Day of Obligation, observed this year on Monday, Dec. 8. Parishes have also announced schedules for events for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, observed on Friday, Dec. 12.

Advent and Christmas programs are scheduled in the five Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Amarillo, according to Christine Wanjura, Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Amarillo.

The public is invited and encouraged to take part in the 28th diocesan celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Sunday at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 South Washington.
