Deacon Mauricio Valadez, a seminarian for the Diocese of Amarillo, will be ordained to the Priesthood by Bishop Patrick J. Zurek during a 10:30 Mass Saturday morning at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 South Washington.

Cheers to Change, a fundraiser to benefit the InterFaith Hunger Project at Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle, is set for Friday, Feb. 20, beginning at 6:00pm in the Amarillo Club, 600 South Tyler, Ste. 3000.

Saturday evening and Sunday Masses in the Diocese of Amarillo are cancelled this weekend.

Saturday's Respect Life Mass has been postponed, as has an event in Nazareth.
